Heart asked:
I’m wanting to sell books, movies, and cds on amazon.com and half.com using drop shipping. Does anyone do this that could tell me where to start. I don’t know if I need to register as a business or how it all works exactly so if you can give me any information on how to get started I appreciate it.

You need to look for dropshippers (not the easiest task) and figure out if it is worth the time vs profitable gain. A lot of dropshippers don’t have actual wholesale, direct-from-manufacture prices, instead they offer products just under retail price. It also doesn’t help when many other sellers use the same dropshipper and are always undercutting each other with prices for the goods or services.
Since you are considering selling books, movies, and cds online, I would suggest finding a niche within them items. Something other sellers don’t sell.
Registering as a business is not needed, but highly recommended. Incorporating is great, but only do that if you are serious about making this an actual company.
You can get started simply by finding a dropshipper, such as netdropshipper.com (mostly electronics, etc). Ask other sellers, etc what they use.
If you don’t find dropshipping successful, you may want to deal directly with the manufacture. Many offer low prices, in low quantities. You could buy certain things, and then gradually improve your catalog.
Why not take a look at affilliate marketing instead? I guess it is similar to drop shipping except you have links going from your site to the sellers site and earn a commission on any sales made by customers you send there.
If you want to go into it some more I suggest you take this free affiliate masters course, it’s what got me started and I’ve never looked back:-
